The Betlach Family Foundation is a private organization based in San Francisco, California. The organization was founded in effort to help promote and support notable contemporary art and important environmental issues. Members of the Board have been active in the arts as well as the environment since the mid 1960s. Over the decades, Foundation members have made donations to multiple non-profit artistic vehicles and environmental causes. Since its founding in 1999, the Betlach Family Foundation has helped support more than thirty organizations, artists, and events.

Board Members

Dr. Charles J. Betlach II
Founder and Director

Dr. Charles J. Betlach II is a pharmaceutical scientist with a Masters Degree in Cellular Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a PharmD degree in Pharmacy as well as a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of California, San Francisco. He is the co-founder of a pharmaceutical company.

Charles has been active in environmental causes all of his adult life. He has been a member of several environmental groups for over 30 years.

Charles is also active in the arts. He is a member of several contemporary art museums and is a collector of contemporary art.

Lou Haas
Director

Lou Haas joined the Betlach Family Foundation as a director in January, 2012. Bio coming soon.
